The people of the book are the people who follow scripture that came through an angel to a messenger. The page does not say "mohammad" it said messenger. Jews follow "Talmud not Torah{" christians follow the bible written by Paul and scholars not jesus or even during his time. The muslims follow hadith written by bukhari and scholars well after the death of muhammad. So I am not sure how many of us are believers that fits the Quran's definition.
