Catholics: What is your relationship to the Church?

Well i'm a convert from Protestant upbringing and was very anti Catholic.I studied Church History for yrs before Joining the Church and most of what i read was Protestant versions of History. So with all that anti Catholic history and stories of so called m slaughters by the Catholic Church and evil descriptions of Popes and Priest i still became Catholic. Why because i would eventually find secular History and discovered that the Protestants in much of there beliefs about what Catholics did was actually some of there own History that had gotten shifted over and blamed on Catholics.Sort of like small town rumors in much of it.And also alot of there anti Catholic History was misinterpreting Catholic intentions. But in your case what i see is a as Christ described sheep without a shepard and like the Apostles pointed out a follower of false doctrine. Your the one who has turned there back against GOD and his holy Church and denied his Holy spirit and are now swimming in a world of confusion with no exact road to follow. If you ever read the parables of Christ no where does he paint the idea his Church would be filled with perfect people but just the opposite.Anthanasia a Bishop at the council of Nicene in 325 said the floor of Hell is covered with the heads of Bishops. All i can say to you is Christ Church and Holy Spirit is still available to you and as the story of the prodigal Son goes so it is with Christ Church waiting to see you returning.
