Is a mongolian birthmark hereditary say if the father has one and the older child and new baby have one does?

my daughters boyfriend has a mongolian birth mark on his head and his daughter has one on her but and my new grandson has one on his but is it hereditary do the get them from their father i really need to know this it is very important. thank you
