My computer wont start up into windows and i dont have recovery disk ....help!?

when my comp starts it stops and i have to press f1 then i get option to start in safe mode .windows system starts loading up to this point system 32/\drivers\mup.sys......after pressing f11 key on star i get ....pri slave drive--ATAPI incompatable.........can anyone help please?
