Would this tank setup be good?

When snails die, they make your water stink and all other fishes will die in a sudden. I used to have gravels but then removed them because they are very difficult to clean up the dumps underwater. Decors would be a good hiding place for fishes, reduces stress. Guppies can go with platy and neon tetras. Snails and catfish i do not recommend. Catfish i thought it would clean the water so i bought one, and base on daily observation, i realized that its other way around, it makes the water very messy.
